The story begins with a fag and his hag (yeah, we can say that).
He was working a stressful job in the big city dealing with sinners every day and dreaming of a heavenly sofa and a spot of divine comfort at the end of each one. Being the saint she was, to keep his spirits lifted throughout the days, she would send him more than enough pictures of fetching, handsome and bare-skinned beauties to keep him going.
On a standard rainy day in the big smoke, one such staple missive contained an image ingeniously sourced from somewhere deep within the United States. It featured a handsome and youthful Zac Efron, elevated to Sainthood and pinned to the side of a prayer candle, wick and all. It was incredible. The best he’d ever seen, all he could think was, my sainted aunt! Whatever next!
It wasn’t until a couple of years later when he left a good job in the city, working for the man every night and day (we love you Tina) that the yen for Zac Efron and his wick was undeniable. Going back through countless emails and searches led them to the black hole of the internet, the duo found themselves researching the way of the prayer candle, it’s meaning, it’s history and it’s purpose. The idea of an altar, with images and people to worship was quite a thing in the United States, but not in the UK, until My Sainted Aunt was born.
From this one night of laughs, history and research, the two decided to try their hand in the UK market selling something they loved, of those who are loved to those who love a little bit too much. Based on the premise that if they both loved these votives so much, others would too.

This brings us to the here and now.
